Chapter 7

Moon fell asleep during the train ride, while he slept the storm outside of the train raged out, thunder was heard a couple of times, but Moon was dead to the world. Moon was standing in a field of healthy green grass, he gazed around trying to this where he was and what he was doing there. He suddenly heard saw someone run past him, it looked to be a female hedgehog but all he could make out was her shape nothing else was visible, a couple of others followed her, girls and boys, he couldn’t make out their details either. Suddenly a blinding flash and Moon’s eyes shot open as he woke up from a lightning flash, he blinked and looks around as he rubbed the sleep away from his eyes.

“What was that about...?” He said softly to himself as he stared out the window, watching the rain drop hit the window and race down to the sill. He watched the trees and mountains speed past as the train passed them, Moon looked around he was still by himself in the small room of the train. His ears twitched to the sound of thunder outside of the train, he heard the sliding doors of room open as he turned his head to see who it was, he blinked as he saw a beautiful young female hedgehog standing in the door way, she was a soft chocolate brown with beautiful aqua blue eyes that shone like emeralds in the light of the room.

“Um...Excuse me, do you mind if I sit in here? All the other rooms are full.” She asked sweetly, Moon couldn’t stop staring at her; he shook his head then nodded.

“I-I don’t mind...” He said shyly, the girl smiled sweetly as she sat down on the other seat directly across from Moon, there was a silence between the both of them, the only thing that broke the silence was the rain hitting the window on the train. Until the hedgehog broke the silence.

“My name is Bedelia, call me Bee for short, umm..What is your name?” She asked happily, Moon thought for a second.

“M-Moon, my name is Moon...” He said shyly looking at her lit up blue eyes.

“Moon? Wow that’s a unique name.” She smiled cutely at him, Moon slowly sat up right and slightly smiled back.

“Th-Thank you.” He stuttered. “M-My mother named me that.” His ears dropped slightly from the thoughts of his parents.

“So where are you heading Moon?” Bee asked him politely, Moon had to once again think for a second, he really didn’t have a clue where he was going, just somewhere far away from the dark forest. He shrugged.

“Anywhere really.” He told her. “Are you heading anywhere?” He asked her, Bee smiled again and nodded.

“Yeah, I’m heading to the Allicesta guild.” Moon blinked, when Moon was still in the gang on a retrieval mission they had ran into members of the Allicesta guild. There are many guilds around the world all out there to stop crimes and investigate cases. One of the strongest guilds, Allicesta, were a hard bunch to lose when you’re stealing something.

“A-are you a guild member?” Moon asked curiously.

“Only just.” She started. “I just joined last month and I’m coming back from a mission I was on. I had to find some missing items for people.” She explained to him.

“Did you find them?” Moon asked now starting to get interested in her story, Bee’s smile turned into a cute grin as she nodded again.

“Yep, I found them in an old barn; it turned out the thief was a greedy pig.” She giggled, Moon chuckled softly.

“Sounds like a fun adventure.” He said with a smile as he looked out the window watching the landscape pass by. Bee smiled back.

“You sound like you have a great way with words Moon.” Bee said softly as she also stared out the window. Moon felt his face flush from the kind words of the hedgehog, he felt his heart beat fast, he looked at his chest confused to what this new feeling was and slowly looked over at Bee watching her admiring the view. As the train kept rolling along the rails and the storm outside was raging, Bee and Moon took the time they had left inside the train to get to know each other better, Moon never told her about his past he made up one for himself until the right time to hopefully tell her the truth. The rain had soon died down as the train pulled into the station.

“Are you getting off here too, Moon?” Bee asked as she got her things from the top shelf above her head. Moon looked out the window, he had never been to the city, at least not in the day time, the city was a huge place with huge building reaching up that greets the clouds above and a lot of mobians heading to and from work. He returned his gaze to Bee and nodded slightly.

“Y-yeah, this is my stop as well.” He finally answered and stood up, letting Bee out of the cabin first, the two hopped off of the train and headed into the city.

“It was nice to meet you Moon; I hope to see you again in my travels.” Bee said as the two had to part away, Moon nodded sadly but he tried not to show it.

“You too.” He finally answered again. “I hope to see you again too.” He said as they said their final goodbyes and went different ways. As Moon walked along the street of the city, his ears were dropped and he stared at his feet as he walked. The ground started to shake as he tilted his head in confusion he looked up behind him and saw mobians running and screaming. Suddenly the building crashed as huge clawed hand slashed straight through it making pieces fall down to the panicking mobians below, Moon’s eyes widen, a mother held child close to her, unable to move as the rubble came falling straight for them, without thinking Moon dashed over as fast as he could and pulled them out of the way of the rubble as it crashed to the street just missing them.

“Are you alright?” Moon asked the mother once they were out of danger, the mobian nodded.

“Th-Thank you so much.” She said fighting back her tears as she held her little child close, Moon smiled softly, saving someone’s life really helped him. The monster roared which shook the ground. Moon was about the leap at the creature but he was stopped when he saw Bee jump from a building and punch the monster square in the face sending it flying into another building, Moon’s mouth dropped in surprise seeing how strong the young hedgehog really was. The monster got up from the rubble and charged at Bee, she was going to hit it again but the monster swung its large scaly tail at her whacking her right straight to the ground.

“Bee!!” Moon cried as he leaped up just catching her as he skidded along the ground keeping his footing, Moon looked at her with a worried look he soon started to blush as the position he was holding her, bridle style. Bee didn’t look impressed at him.

“I didn’t need your help Moon.” She said sounding annoyed, Moon’s ears dropped as he started to feel stupid.

“I-I’m sorry, I-I was w-worried you would get hurt...” He stuttered softly as he gently put her down, Bee noticed the hurt in his voice and her eyes soften as she looked up at him.

“N-no, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to sound mad.” Their meet up was interrupted by another loud fearsome roar of the creature.

“Let me help.” Moon said to Bee, who looked up at him for a second then nodded, with that Moon and Bee jumped up onto a building right in front of the monster. Moon’s eyes narrowed as he summoned his scythe out, Bee blinked as she looked at the scythe. Both Moon and Bee jumped at the monster, Moon attacking with his scythe and Bee attacked with her strength. Soon the monster was defeated and for some reason it turned to dust.

“w-what the..?” Moon puffed as he looked at what was once a huge creature. Both Bee and Moon looked at each other in confusion.

“You know.” Bee smiled at Moon. “You are a really good fighter.” Moon blushed bright red at her words. “Did you have any plans while you were here, Moon.” She asked him, Moon thought for a second then shook his head.

“I don’t.”

“Great!” Bee said excitedly. “How about you come to the guild with me? If you like it there you could see if you can join.” Bee smiled more excitedly. Moon thought about it for a second.

“Hmm..I guess I could check it out.” As soon as the answered Bee gently grabbed his hand.

“Great!” She said as he practically dragged him along towards the guild.
